Air Transport Services Group (ATSG)

Where they started

Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) is an industry-leading aircraft leasing and air cargo transportation services company. ATSG offers various aviation-related services through its subsidiaries, such as aircraft leasing, air cargo transportation, passenger ACMI and charter services, aircraft maintenance, and airport ground services.

ATSG sought support in buying new hardware and software and implementing the latest technology within their existing Oracle environment. These initial projects built trust between CBTS and the client, so much so that in 2019, when ATSG needed to implement a new airport management application in conjunction with Lufthansa, they turned to CBTS. Implementing this application presented several challenges, including legacy applications and infrastructure, as well as the need for the air traffic control system to stay online during system updates to ensure safety.

In 2021, ATSG needed to migrate and streamline three domains obtained after multiple acquisitions. The multiple domains caused performance lag and operational complexity.

Over several years, ATSG utilized the full range of CBTS technology services to purchase new hardware, implement a cutting-edge flight control system, and consolidate its operations into one system to improve insight and reliability. Payment Card Services Company

Where they started

The client is an American multinational corporation specializing in payment card services. The company was founded in 1850 and is well-known for traveler’s checks, charge cards, and credit cards. The client needed to improve the card member experience during reward point redemption on their website. Also, the client sought an omnichannel digital solution for reward point redemption. 

The foundation we built together

CBTS provided the client with a fully integrated scrum team to build an e-commerce platform and architecture for the membership reward program. The solution included design, application development, integration, and backend platform hosting.

Now, CBTS provides ongoing support for a virtual retailer platform (VRP) for the site with administration rights that enable platform content and catalog changes that are secured and audited.

In just five years after its launch, the platform enabled more than 5 million card members to redeem more than 46 million reward points and improved overall member satisfaction.

Where they started

This popular pizza chain’s approach and ability to continuously improve its operations to deliver delicious pizzas quickly has driven its expansion to more than 5,000 branches in 45 countries and territories worldwide.

The client struggled to maintain outdated, disparate networking and communications systems. Systems had lengthy downtimes and inadequate bandwidth. The client required a modern, cloud-native IT architecture to keep up with evolving industry trends. Individual franchisees were unable to provide standardized customer experiences.

Where they started

Unilever Federal Credit Union (FCU) is a full-service, single-sponsor, non-profit financial institution. The credit union is member-owned and has a member-elected board of directors. With their talented but often overtaxed IT staff, Unilever FCU needed an alternative option to deploy and maintain secure network infrastructure, a high-availability production environment, and data protection for backup and disaster recovery. 

The foundation we built together

CBTS assessed Unilever FCU’s current environment and proposed a fully managed hybrid data center and network solution. CBTS designed a high-availability cloud for production, data protection services for backup and disaster recovery, and managed services for remote network monitoring and management.

Does CBTS Managed Services include cybersecurity?

Yes, CBTS Managed Services includes a full security operations center (SOC) with 24x7 onshore and offshore coverage for threat detection, investigation, and response.
CBTS also offers Incident Response Retainer Services, managed secure networking, and security management integrated across its infrastructure operations. A key differentiator: When a security incident and an infrastructure failure occur simultaneously — which is common during cyberattacks — CBTS can handle both. Most security-only providers can investigate and contain a breach but cannot rebuild the affected infrastructure. CBTS combines security and infrastructure capabilities to eliminate that gap. 

Will I lose control of my IT environment if I use managed services?

No, working with a managed services provider does not mean giving up control of your IT environment.

CBTS Managed Services is designed around client preferences, not a one-size-fits-all handoff. In a co-managed model, responsibilities are divided based on what the client wants to retain ownership of. CBTS handles what’s agreed upon, and the client’s team remains fully engaged in the areas that matter to them. Even in a full management arrangement, clients retain visibility into their environment, receive regular reporting, and engage in ongoing service reviews. The goal is to free internal teams from operational burden, not to remove their involvement. 

How does CBTS Managed Services handle after-hours incidents?

CBTS provides 24x7 monitoring and response, so incidents are handled at any hour through onshore and offshore SOC and operations teams.

Organizations that use CBTS as a backstop or co-managed provider get after-hours coverage without maintaining their own overnight staff. Full management clients receive comprehensive incident response as part of their service agreement, including defined SLAs and a dedicated Service Delivery Manager who is accountable to resolution timelines. CBTS also offers Incident Response Retainer Services for organizations that want guaranteed response capacity without a full managed services commitment.
